Creating Guest Account in Windows 10

There are situations where you have to give your system to someone and once you have given the system to other person you are a constant threat that the person can alter the settings of your system. In order to protect yourself from such scenarios you can create a guest account in your Windows 10 OS. With the guest account other people won’t be able to install any new programs and also for not accessing the private files. In order to turn Guest account ON you have to follow these steps.

  • 1st of all you are required to right click on Windows button and select Command Prompt.
  • Now you are required to click Yes when you will be prompted to continue.
  • Now type in the following command and after that click Enter.
  • net user Visitor/add/active:yes
  • Now you are required to press Enter 2 times and when you are asked for setting up the password.
  • If you press Enter twice a blank password will be set for the account
  • Now type in the following command and press Enter.
  • net localgroup users Visitor /delete
  • With this command visitor user will be removed from the default user group.
  • Now type in the following command and press Enter.
  • net localgroup guests Visitor /add
  • With the above mentioned command a visitor user will be added in the guests group.

Now for switching between guest accounts you need to follow these steps.

  • 1st of all click on the Windows button.
  • Now click on the Username.
  • And then click on the Visitor.
