Rasterizing your Text in Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is a tool which can be used for creating some stellar images by adding many different effects. Shapes as well as text is created on a layer which is known as vector layer in Adobe Photoshop. The vector images upon zooming will remain intact and the edges will remain smooth while a rasterize image will turn into sharp edges and tiny squares upon zooming. These squares are known as pixels. In Photoshop you can’t do much on a vector images and you need to convert them into a rasterized image. The text can be into graphics by rasterizing it. You can also learn about Modifying the Themes in MS PowerPoint 2016. For rasterizing the images you need to follow these simple steps.

  • 1st of all you need to select the Type Tool located in te Toolbox. (Alternatively you can press T from your keyboard for accessing Type Tool.)
  • Now you need to click on the image and then start typing anything.
  • Now you will notice that a Text layer has been added in the Layer panel located in the right side of the screen.
  • Now you need to right-click on the text layer and then select Rasterize Type.
  • The selected text has been converted into graphics and now this text can be manipulated by using brushes as well as filters.
  • Now you have to add the background on the newly converted graphic. You can select any color you like.
  • For creating the background you need to create a new layer.
  • Fill in the layer with any color of your choice by using Bucket Tool.
  • Now duplicate the type graphic and modify the opacity of the layer from 20-25%
  • In the next step you have to merge down both the layers and for that you need to press Ctrl+E.
